Renowned Chess Player Lanka Ravi is an International Chess Master with 2 Grand Master norms. He is also World Chess Federations Sr. Chess Trainer. His achievements to name a few are Asian Gold Medallist, Asian Rapid Chess Champion and played for India in more than 50 International Tournaments including Chess Olympiads. He has been a Coach of the Indian Team in World Women Team Tournament, World Junior Chess Championships, Asian Team Tournaments etc.
He has also worked in ONGC (Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd) as DGM (HR) and retired on 31.07.2022. He is a certified chess coach with over 40 years of experience in training young talents in Chess discipline. He aspires to create a world-class sports academy that will provide quality coaching, infrastructure, and facilities to budding Chess players of the country and help them achieve their potential.
