An active Rook vs passive Rook in the middle game!

On May 29, 2024, Indian Grandmaster Pragnanandhaa achieved a remarkable victory against Magnus Carlsen in the Norway Chess Open Tournament. Watching the final moves of this game brought back memories of a match I saw when I was a 14-year-old boy. That game, played between Boris Spassky and Viktor Korchnoi in the World Championship Candidates Final Tournament, left a lasting impression on me. I would like to share both of these games with you and explain the brilliant and powerful nature of the rook on the attacking side vs an inactive rook.

Now let us see Praggs game against Magnus Carlsen!
