Chess Knight Academy (CKA) -FIDE 100 world record gathering.
A chess tournament was organized by CKA in collaboration with FIDE for 100 Guinness world record gathering on 20.07.2024. The tournament was a part of the International chess day attempt to create a Guinness World record of maximum number of games played in a single day. The tournament was held in Touchwood school, Dehradun with a total number of 94 registered players of which 20 players consisted of FIDE rated players.
The time control was rapid with the clock time of 15 minutes 5 seconds with 5 second increment from the first move. The tournament was held using the Swiss system with a total of 7 rounds.
Arkodong Jamir who is a student of Cyber Chess Academy, and working under IM Lanka Ravi, participated in the tournament and scored 4.5 points. He won silver medal in the under 13 category.
