Summer Chess Camps

·Summer Camp for
§ Newcomer: Learn the rules and moves to become a competent player. Knowledge of how pieces move is compulsory.
§ Beginner: Learn the techniques of developing your pieces, controlling the centre, creating weaknesses, Checkmating the enemy King, solving tactical positions and Basic Mates
§ Intermediate: Learn different openings, endgames, analyse middle game positions, expand your repertoire of attacking positions
§ Advanced: This weekly course is for experienced chess players. Your kids need to be over 1000 FIDE rated or have an online rating over 1400 on any chess platform. This includes Complete Assessment of the player and
Set clear and realistic goals.
Provide player specific training and coaching.
Encourage experimentation and feedback.
Review the games played before and suggest /correct various aspects of the game.
· Ages and Classes
Classes are for players with ages 7-17. Classes are small with a low student-to-teacher ratio. Kids are grouped by ability, age, experience and instructor assessment. Choose the session that fits your child’s schedule:
Morning sessions: 10 to 12:00 noon
Afternoon sessions: 4.30 pm to 6.30 p.m.
· Camp Groups
A pre-camp, online/in person assessment will determine whether a camper is placed in Newcomer, Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced group.
Duration of the Camp is 2 weeks with 2 rest days. Enquiries from 21st April 2024. The camp schedules will be announced soon.
Those who require hostel facility/hotel accommodation on payment basis may please inform before arrival.

Rajahmundry (now known as Rajamahendravaram) is cultural city of Andhra Pradesh State. This city is located between Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam. Rajahmundry is famous for its holy river Godavari.
Vijayawada to Rajahmundry distance is 167 km via road travel. It will take 3h 30 m to reach Rajahmundry on a road trip on NH 16.Rajahmundry to Visakhapatnam distance is 187 km via road travel. It will take you 4 hours approximately to reach Visakhapatnam on a road trip. There are many trains available from these two stations. There are regular flights between Hyderabad and Rajahmundry.
